I listen to Q every day and enjoy Jian’s appreciation of people and the arts-esp. music. I admire the way he makes his guests feel comfortable – rather in the easy-going way that Peter Gzowski used to do so well.

Although I am originally from Toronto I have lived in Montreal for well over 35 years and have become quite a Quebecoise culturally. I enjoy Quebec films and music. I’ll be interested to hear Jian interview local film makers, musicians and artists.

I would love to come to the show (and bring my 18 year old grandson if there were two tickets) I haven’t been in the new symphony hall so this would be special. It would also be special if you were able to capture Leonard Cohen for an interview about his new album! (Maybe that’s asking too much!)

Hi Jian: You made me homesick for Dublin. It only happens when I hear Fairy Tale of New York. I have lived here over 40 years and that song is the only one that does it. It must be those Dublin accents.

I am a Canadian living in the USA for quite a few years now, and still follow along with CBC for great news and shows. I love Q and find it relevant and entertaining, however, the female co-host on today’s show (Buy-cot) Black Friday in the USA, I have found to be so annoying and interrupting that I had to turn it off. I have never had to do that before! Keep up the great work Jian, but minus her please!

loved today’s broadcast… from northern ontario… lived here in calgary since ’87…. the fact that you gave the woman defending Alberta’s oil the chance to point out that Alberta is NOT a bunch of rednecks and have always led the pack in womens’ politics.. what a fabulous gift. Thank you.

Jian, You are a man for all seasons and all reasons. You go well with just about anything and anything goes well with you. Follow your heart and let your conscience be your guide. Don’t change a thing. (Exception: sox and underoos.)I can hardly wait to get your book. Hope it will be avaiable in Montreal, in English. French would be OK except that it may suffer in translation. And I predict it will be a best seller. Kudos!

OK, I had no idea you wee doing this four part series!!! please, hopefully you will re-air the whole ting, starting in the 60′s, pleas!!!! I caught the last half of “life is a highway” and it was awesome! Please CBC, re-air the whole series! Jian is a genius!
