“Jian Ghomeshi has a knack for finessing interviews. The 42-year-old host of CBC Radio’s talk show Q – the highest-rated show in the country in its time slot – is so charismatic, in fact, that an interview subject, The New Yorker scribe Alice Quinn, once complimented him on his “catnip charm.” Interestingly, though, Jian is most famous not for the many guests that he’s won over, but for the one he didn’t: Billy Bob Thornton.
